Finish your driver license
You already went to DPS for your learner permit. After you pass the road test here, you finish your driver license on the Texas.gov website, so you do not go back to DPS.
If you are not a US citizen, you may have to go to a DPS office and show proof you are allowed to be in the United States, such as a green card, or a foreign passport with a visa and an I-94 entry record. DPS calls that proof lawful presence.
This school helps you finish on the website, or get the papers ready for a DPS office.
What to bring on test day
You can do the Impact Texas video on your own device or on a computer at this school. The school computer has its own price. This school also gets the class certificate ready.
Everyone brings
- Your learner license or driver license.
- The printed Impact Texas certificate. Do the video after the driving hours, and within 90 days of the road test.
- If you are under 25, the driver education certificate.
The school's car
Book a package that includes the school's car. You still bring the papers above. You do not bring insurance, registration, or plates.

- Proof of car insurance. Your name has to be covered by that insurance.
- Current registration and two license plates.
- Working horn, lights, turn signals, brake lights, a mirror, seat belts, and doors that open from inside and outside.
DPS says its own drive test takes about 20 minutes.
